LCD Efficiency Could Rise By 400% |
Good news, anybody! Science has sprung to the aid of improved LCD action. Researchers at the University of Michigan – eggheads, if you will – have developed a new colour filter that could potentially improve sceen efficiency by as much as 400%. What does that mean in practical terms? Current LCDs only emit around 8% of the light produced by their backlighting systems, but with this new tech, they’re looking at 36%.

I love the movie adaptation of Mortal Kombat. Not Mortal Kombat: Annihilation mind you (that was a real stinker!), but the original '95 flick from Paul W.S.
