Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition is $10 This Week… |
…if you’re on Xbox Live, that is! Atlus’ bag of tricks might usually consist of obscure RPGs from abroad and setting records for games with unusually lengthy titles, but downloadable title Zeno Clash is something different, something a bit special. It’s also criminally underrated, it’s also usually 1,200 Microsoft Points if you’re keen on syphoning it to your console. Not so this week, but only this week – so be quick if you’re keen to get your Jurassic fisticuffs on.

Weekend Playlist: 27th August 2010 |
If only the games.on.net crew hadn't forgot to vote last weekend, perhaps our seven votes could have determined the future of Australia's leadership? We were too busy playing games though, and plan to do it all again this weekend - and this time there's a distinctly downloadable flavour to many of our selections.

Forget your girly little Night Elves and boring Taurens prancing through a world filled with love and kittens. We want an MMO filled with bad-assed Space Marines and truly evil Orks. So does David Adams, and he's one of the main techies working on Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online. We caught up with David to discuss the engine powering the game, system requirements, and how twitch skills will help in a combat system filled with high-tech weapons.

Video Interview: Marvel vs Capcom 3 |
Marvel vs Capcom 3 can only be described as a hyperactive explosion of kinetic fighting energy. This game isn't simply in your face - it punches right through your nose and plays scratchies with the back of your skull. Promising pick up and play biffo which hides a level of depth that will take years to master, we couldn't wait to chat to Seth Killian about the game, a former community member brought on board to help with development.

Video Interview: Killzone 3 |
Despite what Sony would have us believe, 3D doesn't come for free - rendering twice as many polygons is bound to take a bit of a performance hit. We chatted about this issue with Killzone 3's producer - watch him try to squirm out of the question about what they've had to sacrifice to deliver 3D. At least he was honest when it came to ghosting...

In a candid interview with PC Gamer, Valve heavyweights Gabe Newell, Erik Johnson and Doug Lombardi sat down to discuss the company's biggest failures. From the original inception of Team Fortress 2 to that fairy game. No statements come more damning however, than the team's commentary on the console iterations of Team Fortress 2

Trapped 200 Metres Underground? Sony Have You Covered |
It would take a powerful bit of literature to convey an appropriate sense of horror, awe, and sympathy for the thirty three miners trapped in the claustrophobic depths of the San José mine, so we won't even try. What we will do is nod approvingly at a sterling piece of the rescue efforts: the delivery of a bundle of PSPs to help relieve the penned-in worker's boredom and anxiety.
